Project Status: COMPLETED
Completion Date: February 17, 2020
Vehicle Purchased: Toyota Hi-Ace van
FINAL UPDATE: This project has been completed last February 17, 2020 with the purchase of a Toyota Hi-Ace van. We thank all our donors and supporters who helped made this a reality. Please see photos of the children below enjoying their new ride.
As we open the doors of our orphan care facility to orphaned, abandoned, and abused children, we are also currently working to raise funds to purchase a transport vehicle for the children of Casa Esperanza of Angels Philippine Mission.
This vehicle will be used:
- As a school service to transport children to and from their schools located in Tanjay City proper.
- As emergency vehicle, to take the children or facility staff to the city’s urgent care facility in case of emergency.
- To transport the children in case of natural disasters, like flooding, to the nearest evacuation centers.
- To transport the children to their doctor’s or dentist’s office during regular visits or check-ups.
- To transport the children during scheduled field trips or recreation activities.
The estimated cost of this vehicle is $12,000.
Although it’s possible to purchase other vehicles for less, we believe that vehicles currently on the market that are priced around the $12,000 price range, will adequately serve our needs.
Our main considerations in choosing the unit for this purpose are quality and longevity in order to save on maintenance and parts replacement expenses that might be substantial if we choose to purchase a second-hand low quality unit.
This project is part of our Orphan Care Program, a core part of Casa Esperanza of Angels Philippine Mission’s work in Tanjay City, Philippines.
