Georgia and I arrived safely in the US on November 6. We spent a couple days in Atlanta resting and re-packing before driving to Alvin, Texas where we met up with our parents Ron & Pat Brown.
We have begun our presentation schedule here in Texas and are looking forward to seeing old friends/donors as well as visiting new churches and making new friends!
Successful Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony
We have successfully conducted the ribbon-cutting ceremony and grand opening of our orphan care facility in Tanjay City, Philippines last October 23, 2019.
The event was well-attended by friends and supporters of Casa Esperanza of Angels Philippine Mission, as well as by local officials and dignitaries from Tanjay City and the Negros Oriental provincial government.
The event is an important milestone in our mission’s Orphan Care program. A special thank you goes out to everyone who helped make the Ribbon-cutting ceremony a huge success.

Mission Construction Update
We worked tirelessly prior to us leaving the Philippines to make sure the construction work would continue in our absence. The workers will be completing the bond beam on the 2nd house in coordination with Save Asian Souls and then our welder will be building and installing the steel roof trusses on that house.
Our temporary church tent has begun to take shape as well before we left. Upon our return from the US we hope to complete this structure and begin having worship services open to the public. This will fulfill our goal of establishing the first church of Christ in Tanjay City.
Our construction crew will also be working on completing more of the exterior enclosure wall while we are away.
How can you help?
We are extremely grateful for our donors/supporters that have made it possible for us to now be operational and on the cusp of beginning the church! Our mission will hopefully now really begin to flourish and bring forth fruit for HIS kingdom.
Since our project is of such a large scale we are always in need of more help to see the vision come to life. The following is a list of our needs if you are able to help:
- Prayers for our safety when traveling and the mission as a whole
- Funds towards a van to transport children safely (1/2 of the $12,000 goal is still needed)
- Funds to complete the temporary church tent/furnishings – chairs, song books, lighting, fans. The project is part of our main mission program — the establishment of a church of Christ congregation in Tanjay City
- Funds to begin construction of the family cottage for Ron & Gigi to live in and provide temporary offices
- Monthly commitments to total $750 to hire/house a full time local minister
- Sponsor a child – we hope to be adding more children to the first home soon
In deep gratitude,
Ronald and Georgia Brown
