We Need Your Help!
He didn’t choose the life he has had…no one would. Let’s call him “Mike” to protect his true identity. As a toddler he was admitted to an orphanage due to his mother having cancer and the whereabouts of his father were unknown. At the time, none of his relatives were interested in caring for this young boy. His mother has since passed on.
After 6 years at this orphanage he was transferred to an all-boys orphanage where he stayed for almost 3 years. He then was discharged from there to the custody of one of his grandmothers. Due to financial problems she was unable to care for him and turned him over to his other grandmother. She too is old and struggling financially.
He was roaming around the neighborhood going from house to house in an attempt to feed himself. We were called in to help him, now at age 10. On Nov. 8 we brought him to CEA to become part of our family and reside in our children’s house #1. He is happy now to be at CEA!
We need sponsors for “Mike” and more children we hope to bring into our care soon. For $35 a month you can help “Mike” and other children like him that are struggling in life to succeed and learn about God’s plan for their life. It’s a small price to pay to bring joy and happiness to a child struggling to survive, but no one can put a price on a soul … so no amount is too much to save a soul for His kingdom. Can you please help us give HOPE to the hopeless?

Construction Update
Our construction crew is working to complete the back property line enclosure wall. Following this section we still have approximately 440 feet of wall to complete on the left side to have the property fully enclosed.
We will soon break ground on the construction of the family cottage! This will be the next temporary residence for us (Ron & Gigi), and much needed office space. The family cottage is twice the size of the laundry house where we have been living the past 1 year plus in rather tight conditions.
When Are We Coming to the US?
With the current situation we still do not have immediate plans to visit the US for reporting/fundraising. There are still very limited commercial flights off the island and complicated processes/ paperwork involved due to travel restrictions. We would also likely have to endure a 14 day quarantine in a quarantine facility upon our return if we were to leave.
With the recent opening of the second home, the surge in Covid-19 cases in the US, and the difficulties associated with travel at this time we feel it is best for us to concentrate on the work and plan a trip to the US when the conditions are more favorable.
However, we still need your congregational and individual support to keep the work moving forward. We have a commitment to the children in our care and a desire to reach more people with the Good News! Please remember us if you are contemplating an “end of year donation” and when planning your budgets for 2021.
Is Excellence Necessary in Our Work?
Here at CEA we strive for excellence in all we do. If it is construction of a children’s home, landscaping the property, caring for the children, or just growing some beans… we are doing the very best we can. We believe excellence is reaching our God given potential!
Ephesians 2:10
“10For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.”
God created and crafted us into an incredible masterpiece for the world to see. God’s work is not average, it’s excellent! God created us with excellence!
Doesn’t God deserve our best?
Colossians 3:23
23And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men,
We should give our best to God by applying ourselves to the tasks at hand whatever they may be.
After all our work isn’t work, it’s worship. We should be the hardest worker with the best attitude always striving to do our best, to reach our potential because we aren’t just working for a company, we are working and worshipping for God.
Romans 12:1
1I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service.
God also requires our full potential.
Romans 12:11
11not lagging in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord;
Being mediocre is being neither very good nor very bad. It’s average, ordinary, maybe even apathetic. Who wants to strive for being mediocre? Not us!
2 Peter 1:2-3 (NKJV)
2Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord, 3as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue,
