The Philippines is a global hotspot for child sex exploitation, and instead of containing and putting a stop to it, the numbers seem to be growing.
A study with very sad findings was released on May 21, 2020 by the International Justice Mission. The International Justice Mission is an international NGO focused on human rights, law and law enforcement, and in partnership with the Philippine government, the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC), and a variety of stakeholders, under the U.S. – Philippines Child Protection Compact (CPC) Partnership between the U.S. Department of State Office to Monitor and Combat Trafficking in Persons and the government of the Philippines.
The study found the estimated prevalence rate of internet-based child sexual exploitation in the Philippines more than tripled—from 43 out of every 10,000 Internet Protocol (IP) addresses used for child sexual exploitation in 2014 to 149 out of every 10,000 in 2017.
Data from participating law enforcement agencies globally also found that the Philippines received more than eight times as many referrals for online sex exploitation of children (OSEC) as any other country during the 2010-2017 baseline period.
Another unsettling finding of the study is that 41 percent of victim abuse was facilitated by biological parents and 42 percent by other relatives.
Join us, Casa Esperanza of Angels/Philippine Mission and Save Asian Souls, in our efforts to combat Human Trafficking and the protection of children at risk. Construction Update
Work on the family cottage continues and we are pleased with the progress. Work on the roof structure will begin soon.
We have completed the small garage for our children’s home employees parking needs.
We are also working to complete the building of more bunk beds for children’s house #2. With the addition of 4 more bunk beds the house will be complete and able to reach its full capacity.
Fulfilling Our Mission
Our mission is to “seek and save the lost” thru two avenues: evangelism in the community around us, and residential care & teaching of children in need.
We now have both of these works in progress! The orphanage part of our mission is, and has been, functioning for some time now. Also now we are working with Dennis Bello to reach out to the community in an effort to set up bible studies and teach the gospel message.
Dennis is married and has 4 children. He has been active in church work since his graduation from Cebu Bible College in 1995
We are interested in having Dennis work full time and are seeking monthly commitments to make that possible. If hired full time, he would be evangelizing in the community in an effort to set up personal bible studies and teach the “good news”. He would also be leading bible classes with our CEA children as he is already currently doing. He would continue teaching our Sunday morning Sunday school class as well as preaching the sermon each week.
If you or your church congregation is interested in helping us with this effort to “seek and save the lost” please consider a monthly commitment to help us hire Dennis full time!

35Do you not say, ‘There are still four months and then comes the harvest?’
Behold, I say to you, lift up your eyes and look at the fields, for they are already white for harvest!
