Our CEA children have been enjoying their summer vacation with many activities during their break.
They have learned and performed traditional folk dances on Philippines Independence Day, learned napkin folding, done sewing projects, bracelet making, scavenger hunt, puppet show, tutorials, VBS, our annual summer “get away” activity, and more!
The next school year will begin on July 29.
Construction Update – CEA Learning Center!
We have gotten our certificate of occupancy for the new CEA Learning Center!
We are now using the new building for group activities, worship services, and bible studies.
Our licensed social workers are in their new office, and we are working on installing the computers for the children’s computer lab in the library!
We are stocking the shelves in the storage room with our monthly operating supplies. Our stainless-steel railings are nearly complete, and we are working on our landscaping around the new building.
We cannot thank our generous donors enough for making this dream come true. It is such a blessing to our facility and children!
We’ve Come a Long Way…
The vision of CEA began many years ago. At times, the road to our current state has been difficult.
The initial acquisition of support, locating a site for our facility, purchasing the land, construction, and staff hiring, have all presented unique challenges.
Now, years later, we have two fully functional children’s homes that are nearing maximum capacity.
We have just completed our CEA Learning Center, which includes a multifunction room, library, computer lab, clinic with isolation rooms, social worker’s office, and additional storage space.
We also have a guard house at the entrance gate, a laundry house with a washer/dryer, a Family Cottage where we also have administrative offices, and our tent, which was initially a temporary structure but is still in use occasionally.
We currently have 33 children under our care, and many of them have been baptized after accepting Christ into their lives. In 2024 alone, we have witnessed 11 baptisms!
These children are actively participating in church activities and attending weekly Bible classes.
Over time, we have noticed significant improvements in their daily behavior. Our CEA children are excelling in school, with some achieving recognition as honor pupils and leaders in their classes.
Our oldest resident has been enrolled in college, and others will soon transition from elementary to high school.
Many of these children faced hardships in their lives before coming under our care, struggling with access to food, medical attention, and academics.
However, they are now thriving.
It’s because of your generosity that we’ve been able to change lives, giving Hope where there was none.
We can’t thank you enough for your support over the years!
Numbers 6:24-26
24“The LORD bless you and keep you;
25The LORD make His face shine upon you,
And be gracious to you;
26The LORD lift up His countenance upon you,
And give you peace.”
