Orphanage Opening Update
We are making progress towards the opening of our orphanage! We have obtained the Certificate of Occupancy for the first home. Also, after a fire inspection, we are nearing the completion of the process to obtain the Mayor’s Permit (business permit) from Tanjay City.
Next we will begin the registration process with the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD). This is the government agency that we will coordinate with to find needy children and will oversee our operations.
We are working on the legal employment contracts for the prospective house parents and hope to hire and begin training them soon. We will also be hiring the licensed social worker as required by law.
These processes are quite laborious and time consuming but are necessary to meet all government regulations and operate our orphan care facility legally.
Orphanage Construction Progress
Progress continues on the 2nd children’s home in coordination with Save Asia Souls. This home will house a maximum of 24 girls vulnerable to human trafficking. This is our part in combating human trafficking thru our Human Trafficking Prevention Program. We are ready to begin rough in plumbing and steel matting for the slab.
We have also nearly completed the roof on the laundry house and are working to complete the interior work now that it is protected from the weather.
Texas, USA!
Georgia and I will be coming to the USA on November 6th arriving in Atlanta.
We will then proceed to Alvin, TX where we will spend a few days with our parents, Ron & Pat Brown, before they leave for SE Asia.
We will then travel in Texas until late January to see donors and give presentations on our mission work here in Tanjay City, Philippines.
Our father, Ron Brown, will be helping schedule churches that will allow us to come share about the work we are doing and the progress we have made. Please contact him so we can put your congregation on our schedule!

What Legacy Would You Like to Leave the World?
Each day we get the chance to impact our world. Sometimes we are successful and other days … not so much. But what can we do to make an impact once our time here on earth has been completed?
There is an old saying that “you can’t take it with you” and we all know it to be true. While we are still here we can take steps to leave a legacy for the world!
Would you want to help orphaned, abandoned, abused or neglected children? Would you like to know people are being taught the gospel? Would you like to be part of starting a church where there is not one?
Philippine Mission is an opportunity for you to do just that!
There are a number of ways this can be done such as:
• Bequests in a will or trust
• Beneficiary designations in a retirement fund [e.g., IRA, 401(k), 403(b)]
• Beneficiary designation in a life insurance policy
• Outright gift of life insurance cash value [e.g., policy that’s no longer needed]
While some may require an attorney, many just require a simple form folks can secure from their financial institution or insurance company at no cost.
It’s something to consider, and it would help Philippine Mission continue the work of helping needy children and reaching out to lost souls.
