Construction Update
We continue work on the elevated water tower that will store & supply water to all the structures on the property via gravity. We are nearing its completion and will soon trench in the supply lines and have water supplied to the first children’s home of the planned orphan care facility inside the Casa Esperanza of Angels mission!
We have also completed the installation of the rain water harvest tank which will serve as an emergency water source as well as for watering plants and other outdoor needs around the first children’s home.
Some of the landscaping around the first children’s home is now completed and taking root.
The house parent’s bed has been built and only lacks the purchase of a mattress for it to be functional.
Friendly Reminders
In January we will conduct another community outreach event with our parents, Ron & Pat Brown, in attendance… as well as other special guests! We still need donations to cover the cost of this event. We will be providing our guests with grocery packs of staple foods for each family unit, handmade dresses and shorts for the children, “creation themed” coloring books and crayons for the children, a meal for all our guests, some written material in the local language pertaining to salvation, and we will extend an invitation for personal bible studies to our guests.
Georgia and I will be traveling to the US in late February and stay thru the end of April. During this time we will be giving presentations on our mission efforts and hoping to secure sponsor commitments for the children of the first children’s home. If your home congregation has not yet already booked a date with us to visit, please do so ASAP!

If it is a Task Worth Doing …
If it is a task worth doing, it is a task worth doing right with excellence and diligently!
In the first definition in The American Heritage Dictionary, excellence is defined as “The state, quality, or condition of excelling; superiority. The word excel is defined as, “to do or be better than; surpass; to show superiority, surpass others.”
The emphasis of the exhortation in 1 Corinthians 10:31 is that we are to do whatever we do, whether it is viewed as important by society or very menial and insignificant, whether one is the president of a large company or one who cleans the offices at night, all is to be done to the glory of God. Regardless what we do, it deserves our best for in the long run, it reflects on the honor and glory of our God and will ultimately be rewarded by Him.
1 Corinthians 15:58 58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye steadfast, unmovable, always abounding in the work of the LORD, for as much as ye know that your labor is not in vain in the LORD.
The bible teaches us that pursuing excellence is a matter of the heart, of the inner person and proceeds from an inner faith/relationship with God. Scripture clearly teaches the real issues of life are spiritual and are really matters of the heart, the inner man.
In Romans we are told to help the weak … if that be our neighbor, an orphan child, or a widow. We should do this diligently and with excellence!
Please work with us to bear the infirmities of the weak in this part of the world. Will you join us in this task, worth doing right and diligently, of caring for people in need and sharing the word of God with them?
2019 Will be Here Soon!
The year 2018 is nearing the end. It has been a good year of progress at Casa Esperanza of Angels, but we are excited about 2019 and the opening of our doors for operations!
With the end of a year comes a great opportunity for a year-end tax exempt donation! Please consider a donation now before it’s too late! If your donation qualifies for a tax deduction we will send you a “tax letter” with acknowledgement of your donation(s) to our 501(c)(3) organization.
Thank you to all our donors/supporters! We can’t do this work without your generosity!
