We recently added two more children to our CEA family! The circumstances that warranted our help for these two children is not uncommon here in the Philippines.
They arrived with only the clothes on their backs…nothing else! They have 5 other siblings ranging in age from newly born to teenager. They do not go to school, and they struggle for food every day…often only having some rice with salt. Their parents are unable/unwilling to care for them properly.
The travel from their mountain home to our facility revealed that their exposure to the world outside the place they lived, was very limited. They were amazed to see trucks, public buses, and the sights of even a small city.
If these children are like many of the other children under our care the changes will come quickly. First is usually their physical appearance. With proper diet and clean surroundings, the change becomes visible fast. Secondly, they begin learning all kinds of things about socialization, living in a home with running water, learning letters and numbers, and most importantly learning there is a God that loves them!
It is these changes that make the daily struggles of this kind of mission work a joy. We have brought in young girls roaming the streets that are now developing into young Christian women. We have transformed boys whose mother could not handle them to young Christian men serving on the Lord’s table and giving devotional messages. This is what Casa Esperanza of Angels is all about…transforming lives!
Thank you to our sponsors and donors that make this life changing work possible!
Our Church Family Grows!
In April, 3 more of our CEA children were baptized! We are so very proud of them for this most important decision in their lives. They were presented with their baptismal certificates and personal bibles following our Sunday morning worship service.
Construction Update
Work on the exterior wall is coming along well. Our construction crew will soon have the main structure of the wall complete giving us a much higher level of security from various threats.
In our April newsletter we featured the plans for our school building that will also serve as a multifunction building until we can construct the planned pavilion. Please consider a donation towards the construction of our “CEA Children’s Learning Center” if you are able, as we are running out of space in our tent.
Psalm 106:1
1Praise the LORD!
Oh, give thanks to the LORD, for He is good!
For His mercy endures forever.
