It wouldn’t take long to think up plenty of reasons to worry with the current state of the world! But would it be of any benefit to worry? Matthew 6:27 (NKJV) asks us: “Which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature?” And 1 Peter 5:7 (NKJV) tells us: “casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.”
We are nearing full capacity of our first children’s home as part of our orphan care program, and the children are doing well. We will soon have the second children’s home complete and ready to accept girls vulnerable to human trafficking as part of our human trafficking prevention program in coordination with Save Asian Souls.
We have our tent for worship services/bible classes as part of our church of Christ establishment and used for daily school classes in our child education and youth ministry program.
Our permanent vegetable garden is producing fresh vegetables as part of our sustainability program and community outreach. We are starting construction on the multi game court in the playground area for the children and we are all healthy here at the Casa Esperanza of Angels compound. We have so much to be thankful for and good things are happening!
We are so very thankful for all the child sponsors, supporters, and dedicated donors! It is because of YOU we are able to forge ahead even in a time when worry could easily grip us. We thank Him for you all and ask for your continued prayers/support so we can continue to care for children in need & seek and save the lost in this part of the world!
Construction Update
Our crew is working to complete the tile work in the bathrooms of the second children’s house in preparation for the interior painting. The painting contractor is finishing up the exterior paint for this home now.
We have also gotten a majority of the materials for the multi-game court construction in the playground area for the children. They are anxious for this project to be completed as it will provided them with an area where either basketball, volleyball, or badminton can be played.
Installation of some solar street lights is also underway. This will help our security personnel at night as well as reduce our electricity consumption.
Permanent Vegetable Garden
This time of year in the Philippines is our “rainy season” and it is of a great benefit in our efforts to establish our permanent vegetable garden, started several weeks ago.
While we have had vegetable gardens elsewhere on the property, this will be the permanent location where we will produce food for the staff and children of CEA, teach the children about gardening, and food in abundance of our needs will be distributed to the poor in our community as part of our outreach program.
Can You Help?
We currently still need more sponsors! We have more children coming to CEA soon! Please contact us if you would like to sponsor a child, but are not doing so already. Maybe you know someone else that might be interested in sponsoring a child. The cost is only $35 a month, but for these children … it is priceless!
You will be providing them with clothes, food, housing, medical/dental services as needed, and a secular education…but most importantly, biblical knowledge. You will receive quarterly updates on your child.
Please contact us to begin sponsoring a child today!
