We have spent the month of June in the USA for both business and pleasure. We have enjoyed time with family…. as well as other brothers and sisters in Christ
We worked on maintenance projects for both our home and our parents’ home during our stay.
We also had meetings, opportunities to speak with others about our mission, and work on plans to move forward as soon as possible with the Philippine Mission project.
We are very excited and encouraged about the future for Casa Esperanza of Angels. We expect much progress in the months to come!
We will return to the Philippines the first week of July. Upon our return we will work to complete the incorporation process and begin the search for our facility location.

Orphans – Our Place and Our Obligations
As many of you are aware of, creating an orphan care facility in the Philippines is one of the core programs of our mission. Other programs include building a school inside the mission, providing skills training to community members, and constantly providing a helping hand to the community. All of these initiatives are designed to support our main objective, which is to establish a strong church of Christ congregation in Tanjay City.
According to God’s word we ALL are orphans, having been adopted by HIM as we have received the Spirit.
Ephesians 1:5 (ESV)
He predestined us for adoption as sons through Jesus Christ, according to the purpose of his will,
Romans 8:14-17 (ESV)
14 For all who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God. 15 For you did not receive the spirit of slavery to fall back into fear, but you have received the Spirit of adoption as sons, by whom we cry, “Abba! Father!” 16 The Spirit himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, 17 and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ, provided we suffer with him in order that we may also be glorified with him.
We are also instructed as to our obligations concerning the orphans of this world we live in.
Psalm 82:3-4 (ESV)
Give justice to the weak and the fatherless; maintain the right of the afflicted and the destitute. Rescue the weak and the needy; deliver them from the hand of the wicked.”
James 1:27 (ESV)
Religion that is pure and undefiled before God, the Father, is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained from the world.
Matthew 25:31-46 (NIV)
31 “When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, he will sit on his glorious throne. 32 All the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate the people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. 33 He will put the sheep on his right and the goats on his left.
34 “Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. 35 For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, 36 I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’
37 “Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? 38 When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? 39 When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’
40 “The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’
