We slowly continue to add children to our two children’s homes at the Casa Esperanza of Angels orphan care facility. House #1 has only 4 empty beds (1 girl/3 boys). House #2, intended for girls vulnerable to human trafficking, now has 2 additional girls with one added a couple weeks ago and one just before Christmas.
We often encounter difficulties in finalizing the agreements to bring children to the facility. The children’s families are often confused with misinformation from others in the community believing false information such as: we are going to let someone adopt the child, or we are going to sell the child, or we are going to sell organs/body parts of the child!
Sometimes family members don’t want to allow the children to come because they will miss the child, without really considering what’s best for the child when they are not capable of properly caring for them.
We do not cut ties to their family, as the family members are allowed to visit the child provided they schedule a time. Some of the children express a desire to go back home just for a visit or see old friends they miss, while other have no desire to go back even for a visit.
Changes in the children happen quickly after they arrive! Their physical appearance begins to show the care we give them. Their interaction with staff and other children begins to build their self-esteem and confidence. They are anxious to learn and share their life experiences.
To give them HOPE and opportunities they otherwise would never have, is the joy we get by caring for them! Thanks to all our donors/sponsors for caring for all the children … the Angels of Casa Esperanza!
Construction Updates
Construction of the Family Cottage continues but the working conditions are still challenging. Frequent rains are keeping the work area muddy and difficult for the workers.
Regardless of the rains we continue to make progress. We would greatly appreciate donations towards the completion of this structure to temporarily serve as living quarters for Ron & Gigi as well as administrative office space until the administration building can be built at a later date.
Food Forest & Sustainability Program
We continue to invest in the future by working on our sustainability program which includes our “food forest”! We continue to add more fruit trees and are looking forward to them reaching maturity and producing delicious fruits!
The children are actively gardening each day to produce fresh vegetables for all of us living here. They are enjoying seeing the product of their labor and anxious to “dig in” at dinner time!
We Still Need Child Sponsors!
We need still need more child sponsors. For $35 a month, you can provide a child with food, clothing, shelter, and an education (secular & biblical).
If $35 a month does not fit into your budget but you still want to sponsor a child, you CAN! Just contact us to let us know what amount you are able to afford.

II Timothy 3: 14 – 15 (NKJV)
14But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them;
15And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.
